Violent blaze breaks out at Polytol’s warehouse near Port Louis
A violent blaze broke out this Friday morning in Riche-Terre, outside Port Louis at the warehouse of Polytol Paints, a company involved in the manufacture of architectural and decorative paints.
According to reports, firefighters were trying their best to contain the fire using several techniques including spraying foam.
According to reports, the fire broke out at 6.55am on Friday in the company’s warehouse where the raw materials for producing paint were stored.
At that time, no company employees were reportedly in the warehouse. The alarm was sounded by the security guards.
The fire was reportedly contained around midday. The extent of damage is unknown.
