Zero-interest loan scheme for patients in private clinics

The Ministry of Health and Wellness will soon implement a zero-interest loan scheme for patients undergoing treatment in private clinics.

According to recent Cabinet papers, the scheme will also include a policy of referral of certain patients to private clinics by the public hospitals.

To that end, the Ministry of Health and Wellness will be signing Memoranda of Understanding with the Association of Private Clinics and two banks.
