Mauritius among Top 5 ‘Best value holidays spots’ for Britons

According to a recent study by travel money specialist FairFX, Mauritius is in the Top 5 choice for holidays makers, as the pound sells at Rs53.49.

This translates to £102 more per every £1000 exchanged as of end April 2022.

Based on currency rates on April 29, 2022, Turkey was the best choice for UK holidaymakers getting £577 more per every £1,000 exchanged.

Civil riots-torn Sri Lanka comes in second, with holidaymakers getting £462 more per £1000 exchanged compared to previous years.

Egypt and Costa Rica were third and fourth respectively offering good value for money; securing Britons an additional £123 and £116 for every £1,000 exchanged.

Mauritius was fifth.
