Opposition Leader questions efficiency of subsidy

The Government keeps facing heavy criticisms despite the recent Rs150million subsidy on 300 food items.

Opposition Leader Xavier Duval claimed the subsidy will only maintain the prices and not lower them,” he claimed.

“The problem sis still the same. People cannot afford a decent meal.”

He also denounced that the price of only 15 out of 4,800 pharmaceutical products are being controlled.
