In a dramatic turn of events, Laurent Recoura, the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of Air Mauritius, has been suspended from his duties.

According to Defi Media, Recoura is believed to have written a letter of complaint to the company’s board regarding the alleged actions of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Charles Cartier.

Recoura’s tenure at Air Mauritius dates back to 2022, when he joined the company as the Officer in Charge.

Following the departure of the former CEO, Krešimir Kučko, Recoura briefly took on the role of Officer in Charge before being reinstated as CCO after Cartier’s appointment.

The exact nature of the allegations made by Recoura against Cartier remains unclear, but it is understood that the matter is currently under investigation.

Air Mauritius has thus far declined to comment on the matter, fueling speculation and concern about the future direction of the company.

As the investigation continues, it remains to be seen how this development will impact the airline’s operations and relationships with stakeholders.
