Cyberattack Strikes MCB: Corporate Clients Hacked
Hackers have targeted some corporate clients of the Mauritius Commercial Bank (MCB), as stated in a press release issued by the bank on April 3rd.
Through its security procedures, MCB discovered “abnormal instructions” coming from a few corporate clients.
After conducting checks, it was confirmed that these clients had been hacked. As a precautionary measure, the bank temporarily halted its online operations.
The bank is urging its clients to be vigilant and ensure the integrity of their computer systems.
As of Thursday, April 4th, online operations had reportedly been restored.
