38-Year-Old Russian Tourist Assaulted, as Child Watches in Horror

A Russian tourist was brutally assaulted in Flic-en-Flac, Mauritius, in plain view of a child, only hours after she landed on the island.

The 38-year-old victim, returning to her apartment late on Sunday, March 24th, was targeted by a thief.

CCTV footage from the area captured the assailant grabbing her from behind as she entered her building with a child.

The attacker violently threw her to the ground, and she fought to prevent him from stealing her bag.

Following the assault, the tourist filed a complaint with the police. Though she sustained minor injuries, she declined medical examination.

Reports indicate that the police have already arrested a 24-year-old resident of Ville-Noire, Mahébourg, in connection with the incident.

A Czech tourist was sexually assaulted in the early hours of March 5. Joseph Léopold, a 24-year-old gardener, has been arrested in the case.
