Mauritius Tamil Union Gives Govt 1 Month Ultimatum
The shortage of teachers and school supplies for Tamil language at the secondary level is being decried by the Tamil Union of Mauritius.
Its president, Renga Soopramanien, speaks of “discrimination against the community” in this field.
He further laments that requests made to the competent authorities have remained unanswered.
Consequently, the Tamil Union of Mauritius sets a one-month deadline for the authorities to address this situation, failing which it will be compelled to seek legal recourse.
