Ministry Confirms Patient’s Death: 130 Active Cases of Dengue

The Ministry of Health has confirmed the death, which occurred early this morning at SSRN Hospital, of a 48-year-old patient residing in Goodlands.

Suffering from comorbidities, she had contracted dengue since January 30th. This information comes from a press release issued by the ministry on Friday, February 2nd.

“The health services are conducting four fumigation sessions, larvicide spraying, as well as Indoor Residual Spraying in the locality where a case of dengue has been detected,” the press release stated.

According to the Health Ministry, Mauritius currently has 130 active cases of dengue fever, with 82 in Port-Louis, 35 in the North, and 14 in other regions.
