7 days of storm chaos: SAA back in action

South African Airways (SAA) has restarted its flights to Mauritius after suspending them due to a tropical storm that damaged the island and its main airport, Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport.

The island’s popularity as a holiday destination for South African tourists, who are attracted by its visa-free entry and beautiful beaches, and its close proximity to South Africa make it a convenient choice for travellers.

The airport has since reopened and flights are gradually resuming, with SAA closely monitoring the situation for smooth and safe operations.

SAA has also provided additional flights to assist affected passengers and will provide further updates if there are any changes to flight schedules.
