Countdown to School: 2024 Academic Year Starts This Week!

School Year 2024, It’ the Big Return. The summer holidays for students in Mauritius are coming to an end.

New entrants in Grade 1 at primary schools, as well as those entering Grade 7 and Grade 10 in academic colleges, will commence the academic year on Wednesday, 10th January 2024.

All other classes will begin the first term, and consequently the school year 2024, on the following day, Thursday, 11th January 2024.

The first term will conclude on 5th April, and primary and secondary students will enjoy a two-week break before commencing the second term on 22nd April 2024.

The second term will end on Friday, 19th July. Primary students will subsequently have a four-week vacation before resuming with the third and final term on Monday, 19th August 2024.

Moreover, secondary students will have three weeks of holidays before starting the third term on Monday, 12th August 2024.

The school year 2024 for primary students will conclude on Wednesday, 6th November 2024, while secondary students will finish the academic year on Wednesday, 30th October 2024.
