Rodrigues to Receive Rs 540 Million for Water Supply Projects

The Rodrigues Regional Assembly has received confirmation that the government has approved funding for projects through the Mauritius Investment Corporation (MIC).

A first tranche of Rs 540 million will be given to the Rodrigues Public Utilities Corporation (RPUC).

Contracts for the construction of a desalination plant and boreholes will be awarded following an agreement with the MIC.

Tenders have been launched for additional treatment units and reservoirs, with the goal of increasing daily production capacity by January 2025.
