Two Companies sanctioned for Collusion in Tender Exercise

Two companies in the food sector, Poulet Arc-en-Ciel Ltée and Innodis Poultry Ltd, have been severely sanctioned by the Ministry of Health for collusion in relation to a tender exercise.

Collusion, which involves illicit agreements between potential bidders or with a public official, is considered a serious misconduct.

The companies are accused of manipulating the procurement process, compromising transparency and fairness.

Collusion, including price fixing and market allocation, is strictly prohibited worldwide.

The Public Procurement Act in Mauritius prohibits such practices and imposes penalties such as suspension, debarment, and disqualification.

The Ministry of Health has banned the companies from participating in future tenders. They are also required to fulfill existing contractual commitments.

The companies declined to comment on the allegations.
