More die of Covid, authorities declare Monkeypox a ‘notifiable disease’
Latest figures reveal that there are currently 114 active cases of COVID-19 in Mauritius, out of which nine were admitted at the New ENT Hospital.
Over the period 02 to 08 June 2022, three deaths were attributed to COVID-19.
Meanwhile, regulations have been made under the Quarantine Act to include Monkeypox as a ‘notifiable disease’.
The Ministry of Health and Wellness has reportedly ordered primers for PCR tests for Monkeypox.
