Dr Ramgoolam allowed to go back home
The leader of the Labour Party, Dr Navin Ramgoolam, has been told by his doctors at the All India Institute of Medical Science that he can go back home.
This was announced in a post published on the Ramgoolam Gen-next Facebook page, his official account.
However, the former PM has reportedly been advised his medical team, Dr Randeep Guleria and Dr Neeraj Nischal, to “stay at home, limit his activity and hold no public engagement during the recovery process.”
He has been advised to gradually increase his activity to normal over the next few weeks.
Dr Ramgoolam was tested positive for COVID-19 in early September and was eventually rushed by a special medical flight to India to undergo treatment.
