Navin Ramgoolam warns Pravind Jugnauth - Imminent Crisis

“Pravind Jugnauth has internalized his defeat,” stated the leader of the Labour Party, Navin Ramgoolam, commenting on the Prime Minister’s remarks during a meeting with members of the MSM Regional at number 4.

Pravind Jugnauth had claimed that “a defeat in the general elections will not be the end of the world.” A statement that did not go unnoticed just a few months before the end of his term.

“It is clear that he no longer knows what to do,” commented Navin Ramgoolam at a press conference on Saturday, February 3rd. “I advise him not to take the path he is currently on, not to resort to schemes. Power must be returned to the people and democracy must be allowed to function. The country is on the brink,” added Navin Ramgoolam.

He also criticized Pravind Jugnauth for his “poor management” of the increasing cases of dengue fever in the country, including a death reported yesterday. “They are not taking the necessary actions, not explaining the dangers that exist. They are letting things deteriorate and there is a great risk of it becoming an epidemic,” lamented the former Prime Minister.
