Mauritius’ International Reserves Drop by Rs17.8 Billion in One Year

Mauritius’ Gross Official International Reserves dropped from Rs329.1 billion in September 2022 to Rs293.0 billion in September 2023, according to latest figures.

This marks a decline of Rs17.8 billion in foreign exchange reserves between August and September 2023.

As of September 2023, the reserves represented 9.9 months of importation, a substantial decrease from 141.1 months in September 2022.
