Unions, NGOs Call for Repeal of Mandatory Vaccines and Extension of Quarantine Act

Several organisations, including the Union of Private Secondary Education Employees (UPSEE), No Covid Vax, and Nou Pas Bann Cobaye (we’re not guinea pigs), are urging the government to repeal the regulation requiring vaccination for some sectors and the extension of the Quarantine Act.

They specifically call for an end to compulsory vaccination for education sector employees due to the lack of clarity surrounding documentation requirements and the financial burden it places on teachers.

The organisations also cite reports of adverse effects in vaccine recipients.

The government has not responded to their requests, and many teachers who refused vaccination have had their salaries suspended.

These organisations are warning of protests if their grievances are not addressed.
