The Global Biofuels Alliance, spearheaded by India, Brazil, and the United States, was officially launched with Mauritius as one of its founding members.

This international initiative aims to foster collaboration in sustainable biofuels trade and research. The launch ceremony, held during the 18th G20 Summit, was inaugurated by Indian Prime Minister Modi, and attended by several world leaders including Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth of Mauritius and U.S. President Joe Biden.

The establishment of the Global Biofuels Alliance stands as a key priority of India’s G20 presidency.
