MMM MP Paul Bérenger, leader of the MMM opposition party, stressed the importance of removing the MSM ruling party from power, expressing the urgency for a strong popular response in the upcoming elections.

Bérenger warned against manipulation and electoral fraud, urging caution and vigilance.

He criticised recent setbacks faced by the Labour/MMM/PMSD opposition alliance and called for unity to combat corruption.

Bérenger also questioned the current electoral system’s fairness, asserting the necessity of the alliance’s formation.

He also criticised the role of the Speaker of the National Assembly and underscored the need for institutional independence.

Bérenger opposed the Heritage City project, expressing concerns about its impact on business life in Port Louis.
