Unplanned Metro Station to be added at Phoenix Mall

Metro Express will add an additional Light Rail Transit (LRT) Station at the Phoenix Mall, which is owned by Ascencia.

The new station will be over and above the 19 LRT Stations along the LRT alignment from Curepipe to Port Louis.

According to latest cabinet papers, it is Ascencia that will fund the associated costs.

An agreement is expected to be signed soon between Metro Express Ltd and Ascencia Ltd.
