39-Year-Old Busted: Child Trafficking at Massage Salon Charges

This arrest follows a complaint filed by a 14-year-old girl who alleged that she was forced to engage in sexual relations with men.

The teenager, who is not enrolled in school and was seeking employment to support her family, confided in a 30-year-old neighbor from Forest-Side.

The neighbor promised to help the minor. On February 20th, the neighbor took the adolescent to the massage salon in Beau-Bassin, where the owner agreed to hire her.

However, the girl believed she would be cleaning and maintaining the salon. Instead, the owner made her meet clients and forced the minor to have sexual relations with them.

The 30-year-old neighbor would collect money from clients and then take them to a private room within the salon for intimate encounters with the minor.

The victim told the police that between February 20th and March 1st, several men had sexual relations with her despite her age.

She claims she can identify them and even show the location where the acts took place. The girl is currently under observation at a health center.

The police arrested the massage salon owner on the same day, who had previously been arrested in 2023 for managing an unlicensed massage salon in another location.

The Central CID had initiated an investigation against her when she faced a provisional charge of “keeping a brothel.” She is currently on conditional release for that case.

The salon owner has not yet provided her version of events regarding the current allegations, and the neighbor involved in the incident is being sought by the police.
