Health Inspection: Shortcomings Found in Hospital Warehouses

Defi Media has made public a report dated October 31 in which an inspection of Jeetoo Hospital warehouses revealed several shortcomings.

Food products exceeding their expiration date, commodities stored on the floor, absence of tiling and a separate area for expired product storage are some of the points mentioned in the document.

The document reveals the expiration of 12 types of products, including red beans, baby milk powder, pepper, mustard seeds, soy sachets, cardamom, and other dried grains. Some of these products had expired since 2019.

The report states that these expired products were also stored alongside products still fit for consumption. The shelves on which the food commodities were stored were not suitable.

Responding to this report, the Ministry of Health indicates that since January to date, 232 inspections have been carried out in the country’s five hospital institutions. The recommendations, it is stated, have already been implemented.
