Tourism: Mauritius gears up for 2023/2024 Peak Season
Mauritius is gearing up for the upcoming high tourist season with confidence running high among local tourism operators.
They are currently participating in the Top Resa Exhibition in Paris, where they anticipate a strong season. Donald Payen,
President of the Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority (MTPA), expressed optimism, stating that they are entering the next few weeks under favorable conditions.
The destination has also regained its appeal, especially among French travellers, topping the list of long-haul destinations in France.
Mauritius has seen a notable resurgence since reopening its borders, surpassing the United States in popularity among French travellers.
The positive outlook is attributed to increased investment in travel and a favourable economic context.
