Sanjeev Sanyal, a prominent member of the Indian Prime Minister’s Economic Advisory Council, recently conducted a conference titled “Geopolitical Perceptions, Prospects, and Implications of a Growing India on a Global Scale.”

The session, jointly organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the High Commission of India, discussed India’s role in reshaping the global order.

Sanyal emphasised India’s commitment to supporting smaller developing nations like Mauritius in the New World Order.

He also discussed the geopolitical shift towards the Indo-Pacific region and called for partnerships in India’s journey towards becoming a developed nation.

Sanyal expressed frustration with how global rating agencies treat countries from the Global South and urged support for India’s efforts to develop its own indices, with a call to Mauritius for support.
