In the M.Telecom copper sale case, defence lawyer Me Urmila Boolell expressed concerns that the police might be providing inaccurate information to the court.

Boolell, representing Sherry Singh, requested a copy of the report titled “Management Procurement Committee (MPC) of Mauritius Telecom,” which dates back to March 2019.

This report details the selection process that led to choosing Tradeway International Ltd for the sale of copper cables owned by Mauritius Telecom.

However, police investigators reportedly declined to provide it, citing an ongoing investigation.

Tensions arose as Boolell pressed for details, insisting on the report’s significance.

The case has been adjourned until October 17, 2023.
