Labour Party President Calls for Transparency in Rs 5 Billion Solar Contract

Patrick Assirvaden, President of the Labour Party, has called on Joe Lesjongard, Minister of Public Utilities, to provide clarifications regarding the awarding of a Rs 5 billion contract to Corex Solar International.

He also urged for the removal of the Central Electricity Board (CEB) board and called for an investigation into the Evaluation Bid Committee.

The Labour Party MP expressed hope that Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth would seek explanations from Minister Joe Lesjongard.
