Minister Files Complaint Against Joanna Bérenger Over Corex Solar Contract

Minister of Public Utilities, Joe Lesjongard, has submitted a complaint to the Central Criminal Investigation Department (CCID) against Joanna Bérenger, an MMM Member of Parliament.

This action comes in response to allegations made by Bérenger regarding potential irregularities in the awarding of a Rs 5 billion solar farm contract to Corex Solar International.

Lesjongard asserted that all due procedures were followed transparently within the Central Electricity Board (CEB) during the decision-making process, emphasizing that there was no undue influence and that a change in the project’s location does not impact electricity prices.
