The UNDP, in collaboration with the University of Mauritius, has recognised 30 women entrepreneurs who participated in a Financial Literacy Experience.

The training took place between December 2022 and April 2023, and its outcomes were compiled in a final report submitted by the University of Mauritius.

The UNDP Resident Representative for Mauritius and the Seychelles praised the project’s contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals and advocated for resilient economies. Minister Kalpana Koonjoo-Shah highlighted the challenges faced by women entrepreneurs, especially in light of the pandemic and emphasised the need for continued support and financial inclusion.
