Police Investigate PMO in Ongoing Probe

Mauritius Telecom’s Project Management Office (PMO) is currently under investigation in connection with a series of projects carried out between 2015 and 2022.

The police inquiry seeks to uncover the role played by the PMO in various initiatives, including the Showmax and Safe City programmes, which are subjects of multiple ongoing investigations.

The investigation aims to shed light on alleged irregularities, including inflated procurement costs and favouritism in contract awards.

The police are also examining the transactions involving Anglo-Mobility, another company linked to the ongoing investigation.

Engineers from MT are set to be questioned in the coming week as part of this ongoing investigation.
