ACCA Opens Applications for Africa CFO Awards 2023

ACCA has opened applications for the second edition of the Africa Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Awards themed “Sustainability and Beyond: Leading with Clarity”.

Submissions are being accepted until September 29. The winners will be announced at a gala dinner on December 7 during the ACCA Africa Members Convention.

The ACCA Africa CFO Awards is a collaborative regional initiative aimed at highlighting the importance and essential role of financial functions.

In the inaugural edition in 2022, the prestigious award was won by Mauritian Danny Balluck, who serves as the Regional Chief Finance Officer for Southern Africa at Standard Chartered Bank and is an executive director of the bank.

The competition received nominations from numerous financial directors operating across the African continent, all of whom are ACCA members.

These nominations were submitted to the ACCA jury by officials from private and public organisations who have worked with the candidate.
