Mauritius in Top 10 African Nations for Best Inflation Management

Mauritius has been placed among the top 10 African countries recognised for effective inflation management, according to a report by Business Insider Africa.

The ranking, based on Trading Economics data, highlights nations that have made notable strides in controlling inflation.

Despite the challenges posed by internal and external factors, many African nations, including Mauritius, have managed to reduce their inflation rates.

Business Insider Africa commended these countries for their economic improvements during a global recession.

Among the leaders in inflation control are Rwanda and Ghana, with Mauritius securing the eighth position with a remarkable 5.9% margin.

Recent data from Statistics Mauritius reveals that the country’s overall inflation was at 10% in July, while year-on-year inflation dropped to 5.9% during the same period.
