Alarming Surge: Over 400 Drivers Tested Positive for Drugs
Since January, more than 400 drivers have tested positive for drugs, according to data from the police’s Traffic Branch.
The majority of these individuals were caught during routine checks.
Constable Yumesh Raghoo mentioned on RadioPlus that those found guilty could be subject to fines ranging from Rs 20,000 to Rs 50,000, along with a maximum prison term of five years.
