Landscope to dish out 300 arpents of agricultural land

Landscope Mauritius has launched a new “Expression of Interest” for the leasing of agricultural land in the Côte d’Or and Highlands regions.

This comes after a previous leasing exercise where half of the available 600 arpents were allocated.

The CEO of Landscope Mauritius, Naila Hanoomanjee, explained that despite a significant number of applications, few applicants followed through, leading to the relaunch of the leasing offer.

The remaining 300 arpents are now open for leasing, providing a favourable environment for vegetable farming.

The leasing fees range from Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000 per arpent annually.

Landscope encourages young entrepreneurs without experience to submit their projects, Hanoomanjee said.

The deadline for submitting expressions of interest is July 31, 2023.
