Civil servants' salaries to be paid early ahead of Mother's Day celebrations

Salaries for civil servants are set to be paid on Friday, 26 May, instead of the previously scheduled date of 29 May.

This amendment was reportedly announced in a circular from the Ministry of Finance.

Media reports suggest that this change was made in light of the upcoming Mother’s Day celebrations, which fall on the last Sunday of May, this year being 28 May.
