Triplicate Prescription Forms to introduced for dangerous drugs

Triplicate Prescription Forms will soon be introduced in order to ensure an effective control of dangerous drugs both in the private and the public sectors.

These forms are expected to provide for better control measures relating to possession, supply, manufacture, import/export of such drugs with associated criminal sanctions.

The Pharmacy Board is reportedly working in collaboration with the Medical Council to prepare the prescription form.

The Dangerous Drugs (Prescribed Forms) (Amendment) Regulations 2022 will be promulgated to this effect.
