Lawyers up at arms against 'Disciplinary Court'

Several lawyers are reportedly up at arms against the announcement by Attorney General Maneesh Gobin to institute a ‘Disciplinary Court’ for the legal profession.

Gobin had said the Court will deal with complaints brought before the Bar Council against its members.

Lawyers, solicitors and notaries reportedly told Defi Media see the move as an attempt to silence dissenting voices within the association.
