Mauritius & Seychelles, Only Africans Granted Visa on Arrival to UAE

The United Arab Emirates has recently revised its visa policies to make it easier for international visitors to enter the country.

Citizens from 87 nations can now obtain a visa on arrival, removing the need for a pre-entry visa. This includes countries such as Argentina, Canada, the United States, China, and France.

Under the new regulations, eligible travelers will be granted a 30-day visa upon arrival, with a 10-day grace period to extend their stay if needed. Additionally, nationals from certain countries can obtain a 90-day visa at their entry point.

Notably, Mauritius and Seychelles are the only African countries granted visa-on-arrival access to the UAE. However, several African nations, including Nigeria, Uganda, and Ghana, have not been included in this update.

This update by the UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs aims to make the country more accessible to international tourists and demonstrates its commitment to being a welcoming global hub.
