All Seniors in Mauritius to Get Rs 13,500 Old Age Pension, PM Announces

“All of our seniors aged 60 and over will receive a pension of Rs 13,500 starting from early April.” This announcement was made by the Prime Minister, Pravind Jugnauth, during his National Day message on Tuesday evening, March 12.

The Prime Minister reiterated that on January 1st, he had announced that those aged 75 and older would receive Rs 13,500 as a pension and had promised that “very soon” all categories would receive the same amount.

“I am doing what I said I would do and we are working towards that,” added the Prime Minister.
