Mauritius Insurer equips 25 branches, agencies with blood pressure monitors
GFA Insurance staffs being trained on the use of the blood pressure monitors

GFA Insurance has just equipped its 25 branches and agencies in Mauritius with blood pressure monitors – kits for monitoring blood pressure – and will offer this service free of charge to drivers and residents in these regions.

Abdel Ruhomutally, Managing Director of GFA Insurance, encourages drivers to regularly check their blood pressure before hitting the road.

“Driving requires a high level of attention and concentration, and health-related issues can increase the risk of accidents. The blood pressure monitors will allow drivers and residents in the regions where we are present to monitor their health before getting behind the wheel for a safe driving experience for everyone,” he said.

Indeed, high or low blood pressure can affect a driver’s concentration and responsiveness.

Complications include dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, as well as serious consequences such as heart attacks and car accidents.

“If a driver (customer or not) does not feel well, they can visit our branches and agencies at no cost to benefit from this free service,” Abdel Ruhomutally added.

The blood pressure monitors is available at all 25 branches and offices of GFA Insurance from Monday, December 11, 2023.
