Ramgoolam Promises Better Life for Seniors
Navin Ramgoolam, leader of the Labour Party, pledged to improve the lives of seniors during a ceremony in D’Epinay.
He criticised the government for propaganda and highlighted that the Labour Party established the old-age pension.
Ramgoolam reminded the audience that the government has not fulfilled its promise to raise the pension to Rs 15,000.
He also discussed the depleted General Social Contribution fund and the devaluation of the rupee.
Ramgoolam expressed his intention to implement programs for seniors and revive leisure centres for the elderly.
He concluded by urging people to vote wisely and assured them that pensions would not be cut under his leadership.
