Booze Boost: PBL Reports Increase in Sales Volume and Profit in Q3 2023

Phoenix Beverages Limited (PBL), the leading beverage company in Mauritius involved in the production, importation, distribution, and marketing of a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, has reported a 10.5% growth in sales volume in Mauritius for the three-month period ending 30 September 2023, when compared with the same period in 2022.

PBL’s turnover for the period gained 14.6% to reach Rs2.16bn, while profit after tax increased by 4.9% to Rs107.8m.

Meanwhile, PBL’s turnover in Réunion Island increased from Eur6.39m to Eur8.05m, contributing to a profit after tax boost from Eur0.13m to Eur0.91m.

PBL also entered a new distribution partnership in January 2023 with Pernod-Ricard and increased its export volume.

The group’s turnover increased by 17.9% from Rs2.17bn to Rs2.5bn and group profit after tax increased from Rs93.9bn to Rs141.5m.
