Near Île-aux-Bénitiers, Issues Stern Warning to Boaters

The Tourism Authority has initiated an investigation into a drowning incident that occurred off the coast of Île-aux-Bénitiers on Saturday, November 4.
Lindsay Morvan, the director, has issued a stern warning to boaters who ignore safety regulations.
A 30-year-old woman lost her life after a pleasure boat capsized, and her family alleges that the skipper did not distribute life jackets.
The skipper is currently facing a provisional charge of involuntary manslaughter. Morvan has stated that the Tourism Authority will be uncompromising, and violators risk having their boating licenses revoked.
