MRA’s Survey Reveals over 90% of Satisfaction Among Taxpayers
The seventh edition of the Mauritius Revenue Authority’s Taxpayer Satisfaction Survey drew to a close with the announcement of three winners at the MRA Head Office in Port Louis.
The survey, which aims to measure taxpayers’ preferences and satisfaction with the MRA, yielded over 32,000 comments and suggestions from taxpayers.
Key findings revealed a 93% satisfaction rate with the MRA’s administration of the tax system, while 82% and 90% of those surveyed were satisfied with the MRA’s efforts in combating drug trafficking and detecting tax evaders, respectively.
Trust in the MRA has also increased by 94% since 2022.
The Director-General of the MRA, Mr Sudhamo Lal, underscored the survey’s significance in enabling the authority to improve its service delivery, education, and communication strategies to meet taxpayers’ expectations.
Feedback from the survey prompted the MRA to implement a ChatBot, named ‘Myra,’ to assist taxpayers with Individual Income Tax Returns, improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the Authority’s services.
