PM reiterates commitment to ensure ease of doing business

The Prime Minister of Mauritius, Pravind Kumar Jugnauth, has announced the government’s unwavering commitment to improving the ease of doing business in the country.

Speaking at an official ceremony to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Chinese Business Chamber (CBC) in Flic-en-Flac, Jugnauth emphasised that the government is dedicated to promoting an inclusive and sustainable economy.

He also noted that Mauritius has become an international hub for investments, underpinned by a secure and transparent regulatory environment. 

Jugnauth praised Mauritius and China’s free trade agreement for increasing economic and trade relationships, and said that it can also be a platform for exploring trade and investment opportunities on the African continent.

Meanwhile, the President of the Chinese Business Chamber of Mauritius highlighted the organisation’s achievements in business missions, MOUs, and their commitment to using AI and fintech for their members.
