Mauritius on Heavy Rain Watch as Unstable Air Mass Looms

The Mauritius Meteorological Services issued a Heavy Rain Watch on Saturday, October 28th at 10:30 AM due to a very moist and unstable air mass over the region, which is likely to result in the formation of active clouds over the island.

Localised showers are expected in the afternoon over the central plateau and the Western part of the island, which may be moderate to heavy at times, accompanied by thunderstorms.

As the day progresses, the showers are expected to spread to other sectors of the island.

The Met Office said it is monitoring the situation closely and will update their bulletin as the weather develops.

Members of the public are strongly advised to keep a close eye on subsequent bulletins.
