Charges of “Public Mischief” Against ex-Minister Dropped

Former Minister Rajesh Jeetah’s charge of “effecting public mischief” has been dropped in the Rose-Hill Court on Thursday, October 26.

The prosecution representative informed the magistrate that “no further action” would be taken against Jeetah.

It should be noted that the former Member of Parliament was accused of making a false statement about an accident that happened in March.

He was arrested and subsequently released on bail.
