The ongoing issue of water supply, particularly in the Grand-Baie/Poudre-d’Or (No 6) district, is causing growing concerns.

Resident complaints in certain areas have become increasingly frequent, prompting emergency talks between local MPs and ministers Anjiv Ramdhany and Avinash Teeluck and representatives from the Central Water Authority (CWA).

They have urgently requested that temporary solutions be found to relieve the situation, particularly as the country enters the summer season. As a result, Water Tanks will be installed in Bois-Rouge and Goodlands, among other locations.

MPs  from other districts are also set to hold discussions with the CWA about finding solutions for their respective regions.

In the meantime, new water distribution schedules for the island may be announced if the situation fails to improve in our reservoirs.
