Support March for Palestinians in the Streets of Port Louis

On Sunday, October 22, 2023, the Mauritius Muslim Awakening organised a solidarity march through the streets of the capital.

Carrying banners and flags, they denounced “the atrocities committed in this Middle Eastern country.”

“This is clearly a terrorist act against an innocent people,” stated Juneid Al Khalifa, President of the organisation.

“We have a duty to express our solidarity with the innocent,” he continued.

The demonstrators commenced their march at La Citadelle, passed in front of the Government House, and concluded at Khadafi Square in Plaine Verte.
