MRA Launches Rs 5 per Litre Diesel Reimbursement Programme

The Mauritius Revenue Authority (MRA) is set to administer the reimbursement of Rs 5 per litre of diesel, as announced by the Finance Minister.

Eligible businesses, including those with turnovers under Rs100 million, must register with the MRA. 

This initiative covers various sectors such as bakeries, school van operators, sugarcane planters, and small farmers.

Monthly diesel consumption reports must be submitted electronically for reimbursement.

The MRA will directly credit the payment. Eligible individuals must uphold tax and social contribution obligations.
